Location of Passaddhi
Passaddhi
is about 2 miles (3 km) from the main
Glengarriff-Castletownbere road on the Beara Peninsula in the south-west of Ireland, overlooking Bantry Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
The retreat centre is situated mid-way between Sugarloaf Mountain and Hungry
Hill, an appropriate location for a place where the middle way between
indulgence and self-mortification is practised.

church, postoffice, shops and pubs is about 3 miles (4.5 km) away, on the sea.
The whole area is rich in standing stones, holy wells and ancient burial sites.

beaches.

remaining oak forests and spectacular mountain passes. Seals abound in Bantry
Bay, and sometimes dolphins come to visit.

port, the largest in Ireland.

the Ring of Kerry , on the northern side of the Beara Peninsula, and about 45
minutes' drive away.
Bantry is a busy market town at the eastern end of Bantry
Bay, offering many activities, amenities and sights.
