Introduction

passaddhi

Passaddhi, which means peace and tranquillity in Pali, the ancient language spoken at the time of the Buddha, is a small meditation retreat-centre outside Adrigole on the Beara Peninsula in the south-west of Ireland. Passaddhi overlooks Bantry Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, situated on a hillside between Hungry Hill and the Sugarloaf Mountain. The whole area is very quiet and peaceful. One can go for long walks on fuchsia-hedged roads and laneways leading down to the sea or up to the mountains and many lakes of Adrigole.

This meditation centre offers the opportunity for rest and renewal in a warm and comfortable space in a rural setting. There is a self-catering chalet on site.
