Finding Your Way to Passaddhi

Passaddhi Meditation Centre is situated on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork, Ireland, about 2 miles (3 km) from the main Glengarriff-Castletownbere road, overlooking Bantry Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated mid-way between Sugarloaf Mountain and Hungry Hill, an appropriate location for a place where the middle way between indulgence and self-mortification is practised. Passaddhi is not open to the general public without previous appointment. It's really just our house, which turns into a meditation centre when there are retreats happening.

Passaddhi is about 2 hours away by car from Cork city and airport, just over an hour from Killarney, and an hour and a half from Kerry airport. There is a public bus service from Cork-City to Glengarriff, sometimes going on to Castletownbere, stopping at Adrigole on the main road. See www.buseireann.ie for details. There is also a private minibus operating between Cork-City and Castletownbere, leaving Cork at 6 pm and Castletownbere at 8 am every day except Thursdays and Sundays. Pre-booking is required. For details please call Harrington's: +353 (0)27 74003. When booking into a retreat, precise directions will be emailed to the participants.
